Pre-service Teacher Connections

Resources are now available for pre-service teachers to support the transition into the profession.

BETA recommends pre-service teachers become familiar with the following organisations providing teacher registration, induction and employment.

• Queensland College of Teachers registration for eligibility for teacher employment in Queensland 
• Education Queensland 'Make a difference. Teach - the comprehensive guide for the new employment process which includes an application, folio and interview for teachers is now available
• Education Queensland's Flying Start induction toolkit for beginning teachers - access the toolkit before your teaching appointment commences.
• Queensland Independent Schools Job Seek - access the latest teaching vacancies available in Queensland Independent Schools
• Queensland Catholic Education Commission - vacancies are listed by each Diocese in Brisbane, Toowoomba, Rockhampton and Townsville.  A graduate employment website is available from the Brisbane Diocese. Employment applications can be made directly to Catholic Schools. It is encouraging to know that 50% of vacancies are filled by graduate teachers.
